Short Fiction
To date, I have published two professional grade science fiction short stories.
Tearing Down Tuesday was first published in Issue 210 of Interzone Magazine in the United Kingdom back in 2007. It received an Honorable Mention in Gardner Dozois’ The Year’s Best Science Fiction: 25th Edition, placed fourth in the Interzone Readers Poll of 2007 and was long listed for best short fiction with the British Science Fiction Association.
It is presently available for purchase as a ebook for $0.99.
The Limb Knitter was published by Apex Online Magazine back in September 2008. It also received an Honorable Mention in Gardner Dozois’ The Year’s Best Science Fiction: 26th Edition and was reprinted in the anthology Descended from Darkness: Apex Magazine Volume One. Near as I can tell, it is not presently available for free reading at Apex Magazine’s website. My rights do not revert to me until 2013 at the earliest.
To date, my teaching career has taken priority over my writing endeavors, but I have been busy with other writing related endeavors.
Research Consultant: John Birmingham
Australian journalist, novelist and commentator John Birmingham is best known in his land as the author of He Died with a Felafel in his Hand, The Tasmanian Babes Fiasco and many more. However, he is more familiar with American readers through his Axis of Time and Without Warning Trilogies.
I started primarily with advice on matters military and historical. Over the course of time, my role has expanded to include advice on American culture and geography. My efforts include consultation on the following novels.
Axis of Time Trilogy
Without Warning Trilogy
Angels of Vengeance, which will conclude the Without Warning Trilogy. It will hit the stands here in the United States in April of 2012.
